*Quick Editor's Comments: Beautiful music video with beautiful, joyful sounds!

Quick Editor's Comments from David E Ros

1. Laura Branigan "Self Control" song's lyrics and accompanying music video concerns spooky romantic encounters. And described the life of some persons in their short length of time on the prison planet Earth that wanted to feel the thrill, excitement of an opposite sex mate’s attractiveness and arousals in an anonymous masked encounter, before returning to their normal locked prison incarceration assigned location.

This spooky music video has a large following in big cities and elsewhere in many countries with many party meeting’s attendees wearing masks so they could remain anonymous. This music video is a requested music video published on many prison planets and in convict space sector locations.

2. Laura Branigan "Self Control" partial song's lyrics state:

Oh, the Night
*Is my world, world-world, world*
*City light, painted girl, girl-girl, girl*
*In the day, nothing matters, matters, matters*
It's the night time that flatters

Quick Editor's Comments from David E Ros

In the song's lyrics, the female character states of enjoying going "out" to stroll the preferred areas of town at night-time while dressed nicely, enjoying people watching, flirting, etc., which can be fun when it is safe to be outdoors.

In the song's lyrics, the female character states:
It's the night time that flatters

The song’s lyrics discuss the female character being complimented by desired males in her night-time outings.

Wonderful music video, wonderful performance and beautiful song concerning the popular actions of a possible meeting for love, dating and intimate romance strolling her favorite night-time streets. However, is surprisingly a Rhythm and Blues song revealing the many dangers of romancing on the prison planet Earth.

Laura Branigan looks attractive, beautiful and brave singing a song with serious topic lyrics in this music video. Laura Branigan is dressed in slim, tight-fitting clothing which is eye-catching to the viewers of this music video.

3. Laura Branigan "Self Control" partial song's lyrics state:

*In the night, no control, control-control, control*
*Through the wall, wall-wall, wall, something's breaking*
Wearing White, as you're walking
*Down the street of my soul, soul-soul, soul*

*(You take myself)*
You take myself control
*(You got me living, living, living)*
*You got me living only for the night*
*Before the morning comes, the story's told, told-told, told*
*(You take myself)*
You take myself control

Another night, another day goes by
I never stop myself to wonder why
You help me to forget to play my role
You take myself
You take myself control

4. Laura Branigan "Self Control" partial song's lyrics state:
*-[Chorus 1:]-*
*I, I, I*
*I live among the creatures of the Night*
I haven't got the will to try and fight
Against a new tomorrow
So, I guess I'll just believe it
That tomorrow never comes

*I say, "Safe Night!"*
*(You take myself, you take myself control)*
*I'm living in a forest of a dream*
*(You take myself, you take myself control)*
I know the night is not as it would seem
*(You take myself, you take myself control)*

I must believe in something
*(You take myself, you take myself control)*
*So, I'll make myself believe, believe-believe, believe it*
*(You take myself, you take myself control)*
That this night will never go

Discussions of Laura Branigan singing, performing “Self Control” song and the use of extended carrying tempo with the singing of a song's lyrics word in the music video

Definition and explanation of the act, the art of "singing" courtesy of:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Singing
Singing is the act of producing musical sounds with the voice and augments regular speech by the use of sustained tonality, rhythm, and a variety of vocal techniques.

The song's lyrics of Laura Branigan singing “Self Control” at one-point state:

Oh, the Night
*Is my world, world-world, world*
*City light, painted girl, girl-girl, girl*
*In the day, nothing matters, matters, matters*
It's the night time that flatters

Quick Editor's Comments from David E Ros:
The Lord, the owner who is the song's lyrics writer and music composer are not debatable topics considering the Lord, the owner's eternities of involvement in music. So, in a musical composition the Lord, the owner sets the "tempo pace", the speed for the extended carrying tempo with the singing of a particular song's lyrics word which can differ from the song’s overall tempo pace. Here the word "girl" is carried and sung with the extended multiples singing the sung word at the selected, composed tempo pace, speed. The multiple repetitions in the extended carrying tempo of a sung word takes a noticeable longer time than when the singular word is sung alone. The tempo pace is noted with the "comma" separations between the multiples of the extended carried tempo of a sung word.

In this short extended carrying of a sung word in the song's lyrics *In my foolish Lover's girl, girl-girl, girl is the “girl-girl” lyrics which is placed in the tempo pace of the extended carrying of a sung word's pace yet produces a different vocal sound. This is because "girl-girl" has a faster singing pace inside the overall tempo pace of the extended carrying of a sung word in the song's lyrics because of the use of the "hyphen" singing song's lyrics command.

Multiple repetitions in the extended carrying tempo of a sung word is a very advance artistic part of singing that adds joyful sounds to the song's presentation and places an emphasis on the extended carried tempo of a sung word.

Explanation of "Tempo Measurement" courtesy of:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tempo
Tempo Measurement:
While tempo is described or indicated in many different ways, including with a range of words (e.g., "Slowly", "Adagio" and so on), it is typically measured in beats per minute (bpm or BPM). For example, a tempo of 60 beats per minute signifies one beat per second, while a tempo of 120 beats per minute is twice as rapid, signifying one beat every 0.5 seconds. The note value of a beat will typically be that indicated by the meter signature. For instance, in 4/4 the beat will be a crotchet or quarter note.
